Yak Kitchen

Yak Kitchen... This place is just a hidden gem that delivers a wholesome dining experience without burning a hole in your pocket. Whether you're a broke student, a budget-conscious foodie, or just someone craving comfort food, this cozy spot has got you covered.

From the moment you step inside, the charm of this little eatery grabs your attention. The walls are adorned with quirky pictures, warm lighting, and delightful action figures of nostalgic characters like Shin Chan and Boo Chan—a sweet touch that instantly transports you back to childhood.

Now, let’s talk about the food. We ordered Chilli Fried Momos, Honey Chilli Potato, and Hakka Noodles, and overall, the meal did not disappoint.

  • Chilli Fried Momos: Soft, hot, and packed with flavor—exactly what you'd expect from a plate of momos. These were the highlight of our meal, delivering the perfect balance of spice and comfort.
  • Honey Chilli Potato: While it had a great kick of spice, it leaned slightly on the overdone side. It was tasty but could’ve been a little more balanced to hit that sweet-spot perfection.
  • Hakka Noodles: This was a star dish. Perfectly seasoned and well-cooked, the noodles tied the meal together beautifully. Each bite was a burst of flavor, leaving us thoroughly satisfied.

The ambiance of Yak Kitchen deserves a special mention too. The welcoming vibe, paired with its quirky decor, makes it a great spot to snap a few Insta-worthy pictures. Plus, the service is prompt and efficient, so you won’t be left waiting long when hunger strikes.

If I were to rate the place, it’s a solid 4 out of 5 stars. While there’s some room for improvement, Yak Kitchen nails it in terms of affordability, atmosphere, and flavors. The next time you’re on Church Street and need a hearty meal  you know where to go!
